A "flower" of flavours in Ladadika. Paparouna restaurant for the last 6 years is found in one of the most picturesque neighbourhoods of Thessaloniki and is the definition of value for money philosophy and fun. It is located opposite the famous "Marina" hotel, which has been housing romances for decades.
From spring 2017, the renovated Paparouna aspires to “travel” us throughout our beautiful country, in style and with attitude. White and blue dominate its décor, while its nu modern Greek cuisine along with the new concept store next to the restaurant employ everything that has to do with the new modern Greece.
In the kitchen we find the talented chef Petros Ioannidis, while the menu changes frequently due to the seasonality of the raw ingredients. The appetizers we stood out include the fried calamari, the tuna tartare and the Tinos island salad (tomato, Tinos gruyere, garlic scent, sundried tomato, basil, flower of salt), while we were also very impressed with the shrimp “giouvetsi” (orzo pasta) with chorizo, saffron, and cherry tomato. The main dishes you must try include the pork sirloin, the grilled Ribeye steak and the croaker fish fillet.
It should be noted that the presentation of the dishes is truly excellent; inspired and ideal to match the kitchen standards.
When it comes to desserts, don’t miss out on the Lime posset (cream, lime, “tsoureki”, caramel) and the Delice chocolate (chocolate, hazelnut praline, feulletine, rosemary, caramel, vanilla ice cream).
A selective wine list with labels from the Greek vineyard and 20 classic cocktails ideally complete your Paparouna experience.
