At Salumeria taverna, at Athonos square in the centre of Thessaloniki, you can taste delicacies while sitting outside at one of the very few tables (there are only 3 or 4). It is also a delicatessen with products from many places in Greece.
The smoked and salted delicacies are made by the owners themselves (they have their own workshop). The products on the shelves are carefully selected from all over the country. The traditional krasotiri (Greek cheese) from Kos, fir honey from Taigetos, Cretan raki, pasteli from Syros, feta cheese from Veria, graviera cheese from Epidavros, homemade jams and the spoon sweets (sweet preserves), are some of the products that stand out.
