Grigorios Xenopoulos Museum

At the historic district of Faneromeni, a close distance from Zakynthos town centre, you will find the famous Grigorios Xenopoulos Museum. It is in the house where the great Zakynthian writer spent his childhood and most of his adult life. Xenopoulos who has left behind a legacy of huge importance regarding the education of children.

Manuscripts, personal items, issues from the "The education of children" magazine, editions of his works, various books, forms and leaflets, photographs etc. are exhibited. You will also come across old furniture and objects, utensils from the family residence, as well as objects related to Grigorios Xenopoulos's daughter and her husband.

In the museum you will also find the Xenopouleios Children Library with a big collection of literature and general knowledge books, encyclopedias, Zakynthian writers' works and of course a wide range of Xenopoulos's works.
