In the southern part of the island and on the west side of Laganas you will find Limni Keriou beach, that takes its name from the drained lake that used to be there. The beach has sand as well as pebbles and the water is quite deep. There are amenities such as umbrellas and chaise-longues and you will also find tavernas that serve traditional dishes and fresh fish.
For scuba-diving fans there are a lot of centres on the island. Don't forget to visit Marathonisi with no inhabitants right opposite the beach. In the northern part of the small island there is a magnificent beach visited by Caretta-Caretta turtles to lay their eggs. The area is part of the National Sea Park created to protect these turtles.
